More complaints pile against Kwenda

Alleged con estate agent Maria Kwenda was scheduled to appear before a Gaborone magistrate's court last Monday but she could not because police investigations were ongoing. On Tuesday, Superintendent Takongwa Mazwiduma confirmed that the number of complaints against Kwenda had risen to 14 and she would appear in court at a later stage.

"It seems she will not be appearing in court as soon as we had thought because complaints are pouring in," Mazwiduma told Mmegi yesterday.

The woman who is in police custody is alleged to have obtained money from unsuspecting members of the public promising them houses in Gaborone and surroun  ading areas.
