MoH playing hide-and-seek with P15m tender?

*Ministry attempts to award P15 million tender through backdoor
* Ministry continues to favour company with short-term tenders through Ministerial Tender Committee
* Short-term contracts have been on going for 5 months

After failing to have a P15 million medical evacuations tender extended through the backdoor, the Ministry of Health (MoH) still had the final say, frustrating the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB)'s rejection of the request.

Taking advantage of the Ministerial Tender Committee, which allows ministries and departments to sign off contracts of up to P5 million,  MoH has enlisted the same company to continue providing the service, while a full tender is still being put together, Mmegi can reveal.
