MoH introduces second dose of measles vaccine

This is a new initiative by the government to fight measles among children. A statement from the ministry states that the dose will be given to children aged 18 months only.
The dose will be given along with diphtheria, tetanus and oral polio vaccines during their monthly routine visits to clinics.
The ministry has been giving children aged nine months the first measles dose and would get the second one during the usual national measles campaign held every four years.
