Mogae hospitalised

President Festus Mogae has been hospitalised in South Africa after a shoulder operation. The Office of the President (OP) confirmed this in a Press release last night.

 It said, "His Excellency was operated on this afternoon. He has now left theatre. The operation to repair the tendon went well and His Excellency is in good condition."

Earlier, OP had announced "this evening H.E. the President left for Gauteng, where he will undergo an operation to repair a ruptured tendon in his left shoulder."
