Modubule calls for Pheto's replacement

The Member of Parliament for Lobatse Nehemiah Modubule yesterday said he welcomed the establishment of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture but dismissed its Minister, Moeng Pheto, as being unsuitably placed.

Modubule was commenting on the State of the Nation address by President Festus Mogae last week. He said while Botswana was improving in the sports sector, it was unfortunate the person appointed Minister knew nothing about sports and was therefore unsuited and needed to be replaced. 

Modubule then turned his fire on the Assistant Minister of Agriculture Olifant Mfa, describing him as a hypocrite and bootlicker who was doing all he could to secure a position in the cabinet.
