The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) 2014 parliamentary candidate for Shashe West, Motlhaleemang Moalosi has confirmed that he has been slapped with new charges for money laundering.

Moalosi’s legal woes continued on Monday when detective senior superintendent Sergeant Marapo cautioned him with an additional charge of money laundering. Last month Moalosi’s laptop was seized by the police because they alleged that the infamous purported Facebook conversation between the assistant minister of education and skills development, Fidelis Molao, and councillor Kemmonye Amon of Sebina originated from the laptop.

Moalosi approached the High Court on urgency to declare that the seizure of his laptop by Marapo was unlawful adding that the laptop should be returned to him without delay. Justice Barnabas Nyamadzabo has reserved his judgement in this case. “Detective Marapo seized my other laptop on Monday afternoon. They said I was doing online transaction but I told them I have contracts in Mozambique,” explained Moalosi.
