Missing Gabane man found dead

The body of a man who has been missing for a month now in Gabane was over the weekend found decomposed on the hills of the village.

The discovery follows a week of riots by the village youth who suspected the missing man may have been the victim of ritual murder. Over the  weekend hundreds of security agents descended on the village to bring calm.

After police and members of the village continued with their search on Sunday morning they found a man hanging from a tree and called the family to identify the body. Botswana Police Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Dipheko Motube confirmed to The Monitor that police officers found a decomposed body hanging from the tree.According to a source police officers were seen coming to pick the deceased's family for identification around 12 midday yesterday, it also came out that the man was found in the same area where search teams had covered before.
