The Kgatleng District Council has resolved to write to the Minister of Local government and Rural development, Slumber Tsogwane to suspend the controversial cemetry bye-laws.

This comes after Bogosi and stakeholders expressed disatisfaction that there was never enough consultation on the recently gazetted bye-laws.

Last week, a special full council meeting called to discuss the burning issue, resolved to engage the Minister.
