FRANCISTOWN: Nata-Gweta MP and former assistant minister, Olifant 'Kabila' Mfa has said that the bitter differences between President Ian Khama and Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) chairman, Daniel 'DK' Kwelagobe are not new.

"DK did not fully support the retired president, Festus Mogae and he has not been supporting Khama. It is on this basis that I plead with BDP diehards to give Khama a chance to lead by rejecting DK and his lobby group," said Mfa who seems to have recharged his relationship with Khama.

"There is an ongoing dirty campaign advocating that I should not support Khama as party president just because I have been removed from his cabinet. I can't hate Khama just because he dropped me from his cabinet," said Mfa.
