Mayor apologies to butchery owners

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Selebi-Phikwe mayor, Lekang Mukokomani has apologised to butchery owners for the short notice about the shutdown of the council abattoir, from January 5-25.

Speaking at a meeting with the butchery owners in the council chamber last week, he said matters beyond their control forced them to give the short notice.

He explained that the intention of the council is to provide good customer service and that cannot happen if the abattoir is in a bad state.
