Matsubutsubu II ends successfully

TONOTA: Matsubutsubu II military exercise has ended successfully according to a senior official of the Botswana Defence Force (BDF). The officer in charge of the exercise, Major-General Pius Mokgware said that the BDF had achieved its entire objectives by the last day of training on Friday.

Mokgware told the media that this time round, they had chosen to use the northern part of the country for the training because of the terrain.

"We chose Tonota area mainly for its river range terrain. In this country, we have three types of terrain. Two years ago we trained in a semi-desert and in the next two years, we will do it in the Kgalagadi Desert because we want to be ready for any type of situation," he said.
