Masilo towers over Raletobana

Masilo's vigorous involvement in the Letlhakeng by-election may have already tipped the scales in his favour as he attempts to wrestle the constituency from Raletobana. Masilo has declared he is quitting the public service, where he is the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Office of the President, to stand for parliamentary elections in Gabane. The Monitor can reveal that Masilo, also President Ian Khama's righthand man, called all the shots as he sponsored the food, transport and logistics for the 50 delegates from Raletobana's constituency. On the other hand Raletobana did not spend a quid for his constituency for the Lelthakeng West by-election.
The Monitor can further reveal that Masilo became the official head of delegation for Raletobana's constuency, relegating the MP to a spectator role. Masilo led the Kweneng South East campaign team in Maboane ward, where they were mainly based for two weeks until the day of the elections. But Masilo's team also visited Takatokwane and Ditshegwane to lend a hand.
