Man jailed for unlawful wounding

FRANCISTOWN: A 35-year-old man has been sent to jail for five years for unlawful wounding. Chief Magistrate Kenneth Obeng said there is no doubt that the convict Fidzani Chiroro has a violent streak after three previous convictions for assault and wounding.

"It is clear the accused has a history of being violent and it is clear from the evidence that no one provoked him and he was drunk," he said.

Obeng added that he did not see any reason for the attack on the complainant by Chiroro.
