Magistrate's Court denies suspected murderer bail

A 50-year-old man from Maposa village who has been on the run after allegedly cutting his girlfriend's throat appeared before the Nata Magistrate's Court today (Wednesday) for arraignment following his arrest on Monday.

Goitsemang White, the suspect formerly on the run, appeared before court for the murder of Oboeletse Dikoloi, the mother of his 14 children. He was denied bail at his appearance and will remain in custody until his next appearance on November 28 when the state will be called upon to update the court on the status of the investigations. A post-mortem is yet to be conducted on the deceased.

The murder incident, which was reported by the suspect’s nephew, took place in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
