Local garage being investigated for forgery

Loyal Saints, a local garage is under police investigation after they allegedly swindled a Gaborone woman on the pretext that they were repairing her car but instead ended up forging her signature to claim P52, 000 from her insurance company.

Portia Mmokele tells a horror story at the hands of Loyal Saints garage situated at Gaborone West industrial near the bus rank.

Mmokele said it all started in July last year after she had a road accident.  She took her Go Now station wagon vehicle to Loyal Saints for repairs.  She said the garage supplied her with a courtesy car but she soon discovered it was not in good condition, with an expired third party insurance disk. Also, despite assurances that it would not take long to repair her car, this was not the case. By December the garage had still not fixed the vehicle. She then approached the insurance company so that they could transfer the vehicle to a different garage. To her shock, Mmokele discovered that the insurance company had paid Loyal Saints P52, 000.
