Lobby group vies for BNFYL top posts

A lobby group of the Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) has said that they intend to bring reconciliation in the troubled BNF.

At a press conference held yesterday in Gaborone, the group, which is vying for leadership of the BNFYL, said the party has seen a lot of infighting, which had dire consequences for the party that ended up performing badly at the 2009 polls.

Addressing journalists at the meeting, the lobby group's presidential hopeful Molatedi Selala accused the incumbent BNFYL committee of standing by as BNF members like Robert Molefhabangwe were persecuted and ran out of the party towards the general elections. Selala is a councillor in Kweneng District Council.  He said that if voted to power, his lobby group would ensure that there is peace and fair treatment of all BNFYL members.
