The Lobatse/Gaborone road (A1) might soon get an alternative route that will be less costly and convenient for the public. This comes after recent floods in the South East district rendered the Nnywane Bridge unusable leading to closer of the busiest road in the country.

In an interview with Mmegi yesterday, the deputy district commissioner Kolobetso Sejakgomo said they were planning to build a temporary road along the old Lobatse road.

She said that they have dispatched a team of engineers, police, and other officials to investigate the old road.
