Lobatse BNF members headed for clash?

Members of the Botswana National Front (BNF) in Lobatse appear headed for a clash as the party prepares for its primary elections.

Lobatse Member of Parliament (MP) Nehemiah Modubule said he was astounded when the constituency committee sneaked former Botswana Congress Party (BCP) president Otladisa Koosaletse into the area and introduced him to the people as a potential candidate at the weekend. Koosaletse, who is expected to challenge Modubule in the primaries, is based in Kanye. Modubule said he had been informed that during the meeting Koosaletse was asked to declare his candidature for the primary elections. Modubule said he was not invited to the function.

He contends that it was wrong to invite Koosaletse and declare him a candidate, as the names of people contesting the primaries have not been approved yet.
