Leave justice to the courts - Police

The frenzied crowd cannot stop themselves as they descend upon the young man like vultures upon a dead animal. The pleas and appeal for forgiveness from the young man fall on deaf ears.

 
The 'pounding' continues and its intensity increases.  All sorts of karate kicks are exhibited and practised on whatever part of the body of the young man, the executor of such a kick chooses. The crowd appears to have forgotten that it is beating a human being, it seems.
