Land to be reserved for investors

Under the new land policy of 2012, various user ministries will own land for allocation to investors so that domestic and foreign investors who are financially able and those with business acumen will find land reserved for them to utilise.

The new land policy states that government aims to ensure that foreign direct investment opportunities are created:

"It is therefore important that land should be made readily available for investors. In order to make the country  attractive to investors, government will identify suitable areas for investment  such as commercial, industrial, tourism, agriculture and other developments," reads the policy.
