On Monday, President Ian Khama, swore in the newly appointed members of the Independent Electoral Commission, following a meeting on 29th August of the Judicial Service Commission to appoint new members in accordance with Section 65A of the Constitution.

A statement from the Office of the President says:

“In so doing the Judicial Service Commission considered the names of candidates who had been submitted and recommended by the All Party Conference to the Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration.
