Khama Doesn't Allocate Constituencies - Serema

Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Executive Secretary Dr Comma Serema has dismissed reports that the invisible hand of the party chairman, Ian Khama is behind the allocation of constituencies.

There have been reports that Khama has been telling some Members of Parliament (MPs) where they should stand in the Bulela Ditswe (primary elections).

It is alleged for example that Khama does not want Specially Elected MP, Botsalo Ntuane to trouble incumbent Olifant Mfa in the Nata/Gweta constituency.  At some stage, Ntuane was said to be eyeing the constituency.
