Kgosi Gaborone escapes car crash

Gaborone's driver was forced to swerve swiftly towards the Civic Centre to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding Toyota 2.8 double cab. The double cab driver had to apply breaks suddenly, which left a deafening sound thereafter. The skidding sound made by both vehicles left horrified onlookers gasping for breath.
It was clear that Gaborone's driver did not see the Toyota approaching. Gaborone later talked casually about the incident when he addressed the poorly attended meeting. During his inauguration President Ian Khama spoke strongly about indiscipline among some of the drivers in Botswana.
