Kgafela-Mokoka & Kojane resign from BNF

Speaking in an interview yesterday, she said she handed in her resignation letter at the BNF office on Monday this week. She said she decided to leave BNF because she had been on suspension for the past six months without being told what her fate in the organisation was.

"Therefore, I couldn't wait to be paralyzed as an active person who loves politics," she said. But Mmegi can reveal that Kgafela-Mokoka has joined the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) and will be welcomed into the party at a press conference to be held next Tuesday. Kgafela-Mokoka together with former secretary general Akanyang Magama, Harry Mothei (chairman) and Maemo Bantsi (secretary for labour), have been on suspension for the past six months as well. Other members of the Central committee, MPs Isaac Mabiletsa and Mephato Reatile joined the BCP.

Meanwhile, the BNF Central committee meeting held at the Oasis Motel yesterday was also expected to take a decision from the task force, which was appointed by the party to investigate the four suspended party leaders.
