It is a done deal. Kgosi Kgafela Kgafela II’s younger brother, Mmusi Kgafela will stand for general elections under the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) ticket in 2019.

 Although the move has divided the royal family, Kgafela has agreed to be the BDP Mochudi West MP candidate.

That means the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) candidate, Gilbert Mangole will face Kgafela come 2019.
