MAUN: Youthful Parliamentary candidate for Maun East under the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) banner says growing up during the liberation struggles in Angola, South Africa and Mozambique, has made him understand the political happenings in those countries.

Born and raised in Maun, it was during this era that Goretetse Kekgonegile became politically conscience.  When he went for his Junior Certificate, Kekgonegile joined the debate club of his school where different topical issues were debated.

He did his tertiary education at the University of Botswana (UB) and credits the institution for being a political hub with different political parties having representation by students.
