Kanye unites to transform HIV AIDS fight

Kanye District marked World AIDS Day on December 1, 2025, with a commemorative event at the main Kgotla, under the theme’’ Overcoming disruption, transforming AIDS response.

" The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, reflect on progress, and reinforce collective efforts to fight the epidemic.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Stephen Modise, officiated the ceremony, highlighting important national developments and ongoing challenges in the HIV/AIDS response. Addressing attendees, Dr. Modise emphasised the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure in Kanye.
