Justice David Newman of the High Court is to adjudicate in a corporate tussle involving some of the most prominent business partners in the country including former President, Festus Mogae, Chief Justice, Julian Nganunu, former Cabinet ministers and permanent secretaries.

Justice Newman has been roped in to replace former judge, Justice Unity Dow, who left the service early this year. At the centre of the controversy is the battle for company shares among the business partners. The other partners in the dispute are former Cabinet minister Charles Tibone and Mogae's one-time right hand man, Lawrence Lekalake.

The case arose after a high level deal went awry leaving top figures facing-off in legal proceedings. In one corner is Tibone, renowned businessman and one of Mogae's confidantes, Lekalake. In the opposing camp is Mogae himself, Nganunu, Legwaila Legwaila, businessman Sam Mpuchane, McClean Letshwiti, Nkobiwa Sebele, Goabaone Mokama, Tshipa Mothibatsela, Ludo Makhwade, Letlhogonolo Dabutha, Alfred Dube, Dikokole Mosinyi and Dzene Makhwade-Seboni.
