Jehovahs Witnesses Gods word exerts power assembly

Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold their Special Assembly on August 28 at the Civic Centre in Lobatse. The theme for the Assembly; “God’s Word Exerts Power” is drawn from Hebrews 4:12. This theme is significant because it underscores a core family value for Jehovah’s Witnesses. Witness families embrace the Bible as the most trustworthy guide and source of advice in these troubled times.

According to their spokesperson, unlike any other book, Jehovah’s Witnesses recognise that the Bible has the power to transform lives. At the Assembly, guidance will be given on how peoples’ thoughts and ways can be  harmonised with God’s will; and on how people can fully benefit from the power of God’s Word in their lives.

Through talks, demonstrations and interviews; the following questions will be answered; Why should we have confidence in Jehovah’s word?, How can we experience the power of God’s word in our lives?, How can we avoid falling prey to the deceptive power of Satan’s world? And What is the key to ongoing transformation, even with regard to strongly entrenched habits and attitudes? Jehovah’s Witnesses are members of a worldwide Christian religion who actively share with others information about God, whose name is Jehovah, and about his Son, Jesus Christ.  They view first century Christianity as their model.
