Commander of Naledi Police Station, King Tshebo told the press that the tide had swept the boat five metres away from where the last body was found on Saturday. He revealed that the boat was found intact, save for a few dents and the engine, which was separated from the vessel. "I cannot say whether there was or there were no life jackets found at this moment," Tshebo responded to questions from reporters.
"My first impression is that it is an accident, if not then what would it be?" he said. He had earlier on highlighted that the boat's discovery will give them a lead as to what might have occurred on that fateful day at the dam.
