Isolated thundershowers ahead

The Department of Meteorological Services says the country will experience unseasonal scattered thunderstorms over the next few days that will not have any impact on the current temperatures.

An official at the department, James Keretetse, says Kgalagadi, Southern, Southeast, Kgatleng and Kweneng districts will be partly cloudy and mild with isolated thundershowers for the next few days.Keretetse, however, said the showers would be too low as to make any impact on the prevailing weather conditions.

"There is a 30 percent chance of rainfall which is far too low to make an impact. It will be briefly mild but will later revert to the current warm temperatures," Keretetse said.Maximum temperatures will be 29 degrees Celcius for Shakawe, Maun and Kasane while Pandamatenga, Sua Pan, Letlhakane, Francistown, Selebi Phikwe and Mahalapye will reach 28 degrees Celsius.  Gaborone, Jwaneng and Good Hope will experience the heights of 27 while Werda and Tsabong will record 26 degrees Celsius.
