IHRM to groom HR professionals

The Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) has vowed to work on building capacity for new HR professionals, who have just joined the profession, for them to have an appreciation for the profession that is more hands-on than theoretical.

Speaking to Mmegi, IHRM's committee member responsible for publicist and communication, Tebatso Hule said that they are targeting young professionals leaving tertiary institutions and those studying for HR qualifications.

"We want to start building our membership base from that level and create strategic partnerships with tertiary institutions so that we deliver motivational speeches with experts in the fields in those institutions," he said. Hule said they will revamp their website this year to attract and interact with young HR professionals to create vibrancy about the institution.
