FRANCISTOWN: A murder accused person, Ogomoditse Matlho (32) told the court on Tuesday that he had consumed a lot of khadi and was also high on marijuana when he killed a Zimbabwean man, Oscar Ndlovu, in 2014 in Serowe.

When making submissions on extenuation before Justice Bengbame Sechele, Matlho told the court that he has been in custody for six years ever since he was arrested in connection with the offence. Matlho also added that he was granted bail but he unfortunately could not secure two sureties that the court had ordered as one of its bail conditions. “During the day in question, I went to Mma Seabelo’s place to drink khadi, a traditional brew.

As usual, I also smoked dagga. Whilst still entertaining myself, Ndlovu and his friend arrived at Mma Seabelo’s drinking spot. Ndlovu then approached me and slapped my face and then he went to sit where he was previously seated with his friend. Before Ndlovu slapped me, he told me that he had been looking for me.
