Hubona, the pioneering woman surgeon

FRANCISTOWN: She is like a piston in a running engine of a car, always jerky, anxious, nervous; hardly a person to easily pin down.

It has taken Mmegi over a week to finally secure an appointment with Dr Habaudi Hubona, general surgeon, proprietor of Polani Clinic and a political upstart under the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) banner with a charisma a la Paul Rantao.

When I first telephoned Dr Hubona, she was more than willing to sit down and chat. The only problem was that she does not have time, she lamented.
