The last of the three bodies of the Water Utilities officer who went missing in the dam with their boat was retrieved beneath the mud of the Gaborone Dam, after more than two weeks of searching.

Yesterday the police also revealed the meticulous search plan they patiently followed which yielded positive results albeit after weeks of waiting.

After announcing the finding of the last body, a Romatswa man, aged 46, the head of the search party, Naledi Police Station commander, King Tshebo, yesterday narrated how they worked  with the Department of Metereology to determine the speed of the wind to enable them to locate  where exactly the accident could have happened. Armed with this information the search party concentrated on a 100-200m radius, suspecting that the bodies might be trapped somewhere there.
