'Hired killer'confesses

FRANCISTOWN: An ex-convict on three counts of attempted murder has told the court that he was hired by Olivia Olebeletse Keboletse to kill her 'husband' Richard Merafhe in 2006.

The state witness Kudzani Mapwashike, a Zimbabwean, was testifying against his ex-co-accused Keboletse on three counts of attempted murder yesterday. Mapwashike and Keboletse were initially charged jointly with the three others for attempting to kill Richard Merafhe, Keboletse Mooketsi and Steven Keboletse in Serowe in 2006.

Mapwashike and the three others had since been convicted and sentenced, as they had pleaded guilty to all the charges.
