Headman hospitalised after knife attack

The headman of Mokokwane village in the Central District is in hospital after a 19-year-old man stabbed him with a knife at a shebeen.

Maunatlala police have arrested the alleged attacker for further investigations.According to the officer commanding District Number 2, Senior Superintendent, Boikhutso Dintwa, the headman had an argument with the suspect.The incident took place at around midnight on March 11th.

Form five student wanted for murder
Police in Kang are on the hunt for a 21-year-old form five student who allegedly killed a fellow scholar at Macha College on Sunday morning.The suspect, who hails from Letlhakeng, is alleged to have stabbed the 19-year-old deceased with a sharp instrument in a fight.The Lehututu-born student died on the scene.Superintendent Ogaofi Gorge of Kang Police Station confirmed the incident on Monday afternoon. He said investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the fight as there were no witnesses at the time of the incident.According to Gorge, the incident took place behind a classroom.
