Has Mogae ended BDP factionalism?

FRANCISTOWN: When President Festus Mogae addresses the 32nd congress Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in Molepolole in about a week's time, factionalism, unity and reconciliation are likely to dominate his speech. These are the three things that he has put much emphasis on since he took over the party and state presidency from Sir Ketumile Masire in 1998.

At almost every major party function, Mogae has reminded the BDP faithful about the need to unite and stop infighting.

The faction-ridden party held a number of retreats, seminars and workshops where the message of unity and reconciliation  was reiterated.
