Goodhope SSS opening moved to March

The Goodhope Senior Secondary School that was supposed to open its doors to Form Four students this month has been delayed by four weeks, Ministry of Education (MoE) Permanent Secretary Festinah Bakwena has revealed.

Speaking after a guided tour of the school, Bakwena said that they are now confident of the school opening by March 3 following assurances from the contractors. "We are happy with the progress that has been made so far, given the time frame and the quality of the buildings.

This is the first time so much progress has been made in a project of this magnitude," she said, adding that the Department of Secondary Education has started posting students from junior schools and would also post some to Goodhope knowing that the school would open.
