Go ahead, Mogalakwe challenges Moupo

Barely a week after Botswana National Front (BNF) president Otsweletse Moupo threatened to crack the whip against dissidents; veteran party member Mogalakwe Mogalakwe has challenged the BNF leader to take him on.

When addressing the BNF annual conference in Serowe over the President's Day holidays, Moupo warned that he would deal ruthlessly with members who did not toe the party line.  Moupo warned party members against going public about internal party issues and attacking other activists in the media.

However, Mogalakwe, who is the chairman of the North Central region, has challenged Moupo to take action against him for expressing his views. He said he would have no problem if Moupo expelled him from the party.
