Give parliament independence - Molefhi

MP for Selebi-Phikwe East, Nonofo Molefhi was the latest to join the song in which members of parliament are calling for the independence of the institution from executive control.

Like other MPs before him, Molefhi lamented the unfair treatment the House gets from government when contributing to the Presidential address. 

He said the Parliament of Botswana is run from the Office of the President (OP). Staff is employed at OP and MPs have to ask for telephone connections in their offices through the OP.
