FSS aims high academically

FRANCISTOWN: A senior Art and Design teacher at Francistown Senior Secondary School (FSS) has said they want to see the school performing better in the 2013 examinations.

Terry Rankhudu, who doubles as chairman of Northern Art Teachers Association (NATA) said this week that the school aims to be in the top 10 performers in the country.He was speaking after the NATA annual regional art exhibition where his school scooped the best overall prize. He said he was overwhelmed that FSS managed to be the best in the senior secondary schools category.

FSS won position one in drawing, 3D design, 2D design, 3D craft and basketry. "Today we won the best overall school in art but we do not want to be known in art only. We also want to perform well academically.We want to be amongst the top 10 schools nationwide come the 2013 examinations results," he said.Rankhudu said that to ensure the school performs well in the 2013 examinations, they are coming up with strategies in helping them to achieve better results.
