Francistown businessman, Paulson wins top-of-the-range Cruiser from Haskins

The Haskins Win-A-Cruiser competition ended on a high note Tuesday when a Francistown businessman, Victor Paulson walked away with a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser.

Champaign flowed as Paulson managed to pick the right key after he was left with only one competitor. Six others had been eliminated in preceding nail-biting and feverish rounds of fumbling. The runner up did not go empty-handed as he was left holding a P100,000 cheque with which to console himself.

Apparently, there is little officialdom at these draws as usually excitement is left to take its course. Speeches from the likes of George Haskins, the grandson of George Haskins, Francistown’s pioneering businessman who later became a cabinet Minister, were short and to the point.
