Francistown bids Batshu farewell

FRANCISTOWN: Outgoing Botswana Police Commissioner, Edwin Batshu has alerted Francistown City Council (FCC) that as he leaves the service, the challenges of cooperation between the police and the council still remain.

Batshu and his entourage took advantage of the full council meeting so he could bid them farewell. Batshu will hand over the baton to the new police chief on June 21.

"As I leave this position, the challenges still remain. Criminality is on the increase and we are still living in a country where illegal immigrants are engaging in criminal activities," he said.
