Former BAC students yet to receive results six months later

FRANCISTOWN: Hundreds of former Botswana Accountancy College students who completed their studies this year, have been left in the lurch by the institution, as their results have been delayed since February.

The students now have serious doubts about the authenticity of the learning institution. They also said the unavailability of their results has impacted negatively on their livelihoods and aspirations, as they are unable to further their studies or secure employment.

In an interview with Mmegi, BAC Student Representative Council president, Marvin Kgosipula confirmed that students who completed their studies this year have not yet received their results. "We received complaints from the students. They are unable to apply for jobs due to the fact that in their transcripts results, some subjects are missing," he said. Kgosipula said some of the subjects include Business Tax, Computer accounting, Working Effectively in Accounting and Finance (WEAF), Spreadsheet and other subjects.
