Scores of homes in Tlokweng were yesterday afternoon heavily flooded after water flowing from the newly developed Tlokweng Road emptied into several homes due to poor drainage.

Scores of homes at Lesunyaneng Ward and Nkaikela Ward in Tlokweng were soon standing in flood waters following downpours that started midday to late in the afternoon. The Monitor team observed rapid flowing water  from the direction of  Nkaikela Clinic emptying into people's homes at around 3pm.

One of the affected premises is a kindergarten at Nkaikela, along with  scores of homes on the  left side of the Nkaikela road going West. At Lesunyaneng Ward, Susan Kelepang's home summed up the desperate state of  the residents in that ward after rain water pumped into her yard and houses.
