Floods cause chaos

Elsewhere in the district, Mogobane Dam was overflowing. The Officer-in-Charge at Ramotswa Border Gate, Annah Kokomane, confirmed yesterday that they closed the entry and exit point on Monday as a deluge pelted the district.

Ramotswa Border Gate lies approximately 400 metres from the Ngotwane River that forms a natural boundary between Botswana and South Africa."We are closed for business until further notice because the situation is bad," Kokomane said. "We hope we will open soon because it does not usually take long for the water level to go down."
