Fifty-year old charged with murder

FRANCISTOWN: A 50-year old Tonota man appeared before court last Thursday to answer to a single count of murder.

Keremang Nshakiwa, a foreman at Njadingwe Farm, is alleged to have murdered one Gaotlhobogwe Kabelo at the farm in Ditladi Village on November 12 in 2012.State prosecutor Paul Chaluza told Magistrate Mpho Molema that they were still waiting for the results of a forensic analysis performed on exhibits. Nshakiwa said he had nothing to say about what the prosecutor had just informed the court.The magistrate then told Nshakiwa to appear in court again on May 7, for mention.

In another matter, a Zimbabwe national will be extradited to his country where is wanted in connection with the murder of a compatriot.  Melusi Ndlovu is alleged to have killed his fellow countryman in December last year and then crossed the border illegally into Botswana in a bid to escape arrest.Zimbabwean authorities subsequently applied for his extradition. In his previous appearances in court, Ndlovu told the magistrate that the he knew nothing about the murder. He said he had come to Botswana because he feared for his life since some people wanted to kill him in Zimbabwe.
