Every Thursday, the district commissioner's offices in the 'Old Village', Gaborone bustles with life as scores of couples dressed to the nines solemnise their unions by exchanging vows, supported by friends and family.
When Mmegi arrives at the DC's, the little boardroom is full and those who cannot squirm their way through are forced to patiently wait outside. It is difficult to determine who is fortunate; the ones idling outside, or those in the tiny boardroom.
