May 4, 2013 will go down in history as a red letter day as Botswana's spiritual home of beef, Lobatse, the home of Botswana Meat Commission (BMC), will host the first International Beef Festival in the country.

Everyone is invited to come and celebrate Botswana's beef industry, a sector revered far beyond our borders.Organisers say if you're thirsting for a different experience then get down to Lobatse with your friends and family for the event that will be held from 10am until late into the night.

The venue for the festival is the picturesque Lobatse Town Park conveniently located at the edge of Lobatse, visible just as one enters the town from Gaborone. The park itself is well paved and boasts an amphitheatre, skate park and braai areas.
